Jim had played with this form at least twice before coming to Fort Bragg; one in elm, and one in Oregon pine (Douglas fir). This ash cabinet is 20-5/8″w x10″d x 55-1/4″h. 1985.
Furniture historian and author Oscar Fitzgerald instigated a search for a Krenov cabinet for public display. He, his wife, and College of the Redwoods Fine Woodworking alumni purchased this cabinet from the original owner. The cabinet was installed in the Renwick Gallery in 2013.
